McTimoney Animal Chiropractor in Bristol, complimented with conditioning enabling animal's to reach their full individual potential.
Horses have always been a big part of my life, from competing in Handy Pony (still my favourite!) through to BSJA and BE. These days, I’m a happy hacker with my Cob Bruce and the cheekiest HorseWorld adoptee, Albie, exploring the countryside whenever we can.
My journey into animal chiropractic began with my horse Sprite’s incredible response to McTimoney treatment. I studied at Hartpury College and University (National Diploma in Horse Management, BSc Hons in Equine Science), then went on to complete an MSc in Large Animal Manipulation at McTimoney College of Chiropractic. I’m also a qualified Merisha Animal Massage Practitioner and a Canine Conditioning Coach. I’ve been practising as an Equine and Canine McTimoney Chiropractor since 2012.
Dogs arrived a little later, starting with an emergency foster, Petula, whose Staffy smile won my heart forever. Now I share my life with a Patterdale Terrier, aka Twatterdale Terror. We love our weekly Hoopers, Parkour, and UK Sports Dog activities—mostly where he loudly reminds me of my lefts and rights!
I treat horses and dogs of all shapes, sizes, and abilities—from elderly dogs who want to stay mobile, to Agility champions, companion ponies, and 2* Eventers. I combine Chiropractic care, Massage, Conditioning, and Therapeutic Laser treatments to keep their bodies free from restriction, discomfort, performing at their best, and living comfortably. I’m passionate about working closely with owners to help their animals thrive between treatments too.

She was amazing with our dog Poppy, she even referred us on when she suspected something was a deeper issue, and she was spot on! She went above and beyond to support us through the process too. I know my dog Poppy would also rate Emmaline’s chiropractic treatment and say it’s 5 star waggy tail approved and zoomie inducing - Poppy often just falls asleep now as she finds it such a relaxing treatment, her new set up really helps put Poppy at ease. The way Poppy moves after treatment is amazing - and she often gets zoomies because she was feeling so good after Emmaline has worked her magic! ✨Posted on Google Claire JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog was nervous to begin with but she quickly put her at ease — she now settles really well during her sessions which says a lot. She's helped us with mobility, general maintenance and post-injury recovery and the results speak for themselves. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Nicola HarrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot recommend Emmaline highly enough. From the very first appointment, they showed exceptional care, knowledge, and professionalism. They took the time to thoroughly assess my dog, explain their findings clearly, and ensure I understood the treatment process. Since receiving treatment, I have noticed a significant improvement in my dog’s comfort, mobility, and overall wellbeing. The gentle, non-invasive approach of McTimoney therapy has made a real difference, and my dog is always relaxed and comfortable during sessions. What stands out most is their genuine dedication to animal welfare and their ability to build trust with both pets and owners. Their expertise, patience, and compassionate approach give me complete confidence that my dog is receiving the very best care. I am extremely grateful for the positive impact they have had on my dog’s quality of life and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and caring McTimoney practitioner.Posted on Google Dawn BosleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Emmaline is the most amazing person when it comes to your dogs well being. Simba has been very injury prone and Emmaline has supported us through her conditioning program . I have learnt so much. She amazes me her eye for detail spotting the slightest of weakness and knowing the area we need to work on. Very recommended 😊😊Posted on Google Helen SterlingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Emmaline has worked wonders with my border collie. He is only 3yrs old but has hip dysplasia. With her help we are keeping him physically balanced, well muscled and active. He is also much less reactive towards other dogsPosted on Google Samantha GaineyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Emmaline has been amazing with Wilf (& Doris!). Her patience when he was unsure, and her knowledge to help him relax and understand that she was helping, is second to none. Thank you for everything! (& Doris thanks you for the quarterly cheese fest 🤣)Posted on Google Jess SmartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Emmaline has been treating our dog for a year now and the difference in her is amazing! Our dog was struggling with activities that she used to love such as agility but we didn't know why. After visiting Emmaline we found out the cause and from the very first session the improvement was huge! Levy was back to her normal self and loving life again 😊 Would highly recommend!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. McTimoney Animal Chiropractic is a specialised form of chiropractic care designed for animals. Using light, precise adjustments, it helps correct skeletal misalignments, restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system. This can ease discomfort, improve movement and posture, support recovery from injury, and enhance overall wellbeing and performance.

Gentle adjustments help restore normal joint movement, allowing animals to move more freely and comfortably in their daily activities or training.

By improving alignment and balance, McTimoney care can enhance stride length, agility and overall performance in working, competition or leisure animals.

Misalignments can cause stiffness, tension and pain; chiropractic treatment helps ease these issues naturally without invasive procedures.

Supporting the musculoskeletal system during rehabilitation can speed up recovery, reduce compensatory strain, and aid long-term healing.

Correcting misalignments improves posture and body symmetry, helping animals move with better coordination and balance.

Pain or restricted movement often leads to irritability or reluctance to work; treatment can reduce discomfort and improve temperament.

Older animals often suffer stiffness and reduced mobility; McTimoney techniques can help maintain comfort and quality of life as they age.

Regular chiropractic check-ups can identify small issues before they become bigger problems, supporting long-term musculoskeletal health.
