Caring for Animals with Passion & Expertise

Professional Horse & Dog Chiropractor in Pilning

Helping horses and dogs move freely, comfortably, and perform their best.

Horses have always been a big part of my life, from competing in Handy Pony (still my favourite!) through to BSJA and BE. These days, I’m a happy hacker with my Cob Bruce and the cheekiest HorseWorld adoptee, Albie, exploring the countryside whenever we can.

"Achieving the individual’s optimum condition and maintaining it."

My journey into animal chiropractic began with my horse Sprite’s incredible response to McTimoney treatment. I studied at Hartpury College and University (National Diploma in Horse Management, BSc Hons in Equine Science), then went on to complete an MSc in Large Animal Manipulation at McTimoney College of Chiropractic. I’m also a qualified Merisha Animal Massage Practitioner and a Canine Conditioning Coach. I’ve been practising as an Equine and Canine McTimoney Chiropractor since 2012.

Dogs arrived a little later, starting with an emergency foster, Petula, whose Staffy smile won my heart forever. Now I share my life with a Patterdale Terrier, aka Twatterdale Terror. We love our weekly Hoopers, Parkour, and UK Sports Dog activities—mostly where he loudly reminds me of my lefts and rights!

I treat horses and dogs of all shapes, sizes, and abilities—from elderly dogs who want to stay mobile, to Agility champions, companion ponies, and 2* Eventers. I combine Chiropractic care, Massage, Conditioning, and Therapeutic Laser treatments to keep their bodies free from restriction, discomfort, performing at their best, and living comfortably. I’m passionate about working closely with owners to help their animals thrive between treatments too.

What is McTimoney Animal Chiropractic?

McTimoney Animal Chiropractic is a specialised form of chiropractic care designed for animals. Using light, precise adjustments, it helps correct skeletal misalignments, restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system. This can ease discomfort, improve movement and posture, support recovery from injury, and enhance overall wellbeing and performance.

Mobility & Flexibility

Gentle adjustments help restore normal joint movement, allowing animals to move more freely and comfortably in their daily activities or training.

Performance & Athletic Ability

By improving alignment and balance, McTimoney care can enhance stride length, agility and overall performance in working, competition or leisure animals.

Pain & Discomfort Relief

Misalignments can cause stiffness, tension and pain; chiropractic treatment helps ease these issues naturally without invasive procedures.

Recovery from Injury

Supporting the musculoskeletal system during rehabilitation can speed up recovery, reduce compensatory strain, and aid long-term healing.

Posture & Balance

Correcting misalignments improves posture and body symmetry, helping animals move with better coordination and balance.

Behavioural Changes

Pain or restricted movement often leads to irritability or reluctance to work; treatment can reduce discomfort and improve temperament.

Ageing & Senior Animals

Older animals often suffer stiffness and reduced mobility; McTimoney techniques can help maintain comfort and quality of life as they age.

Preventative Care

Regular chiropractic check-ups can identify small issues before they become bigger problems, supporting long-term musculoskeletal health.
